How is CBA NB deciding what events can take place in person going forward?

  • October 28, 2021

Given the high degree of uncertainty associated with COVID in our province we have continued to host online learning opportunities for members.  We had been hoping to host a traditional Midwinter in February but that is simply not an option at this time.  However, we are committed to presenting the annual Midwinter while being responsible.  We will work to ensure the implementation of safety protocols for members participating in person while affording the opportunity to those wishing to join virtually for a multitude of reasons.

Why are we choosing a hybrid model for our MW in 2022?

Given the lead time required to plan this conference and the uncertainties around the anticipated public health situation following Christmas Break, it was decided that MW 2022 would be presented as a hybrid (February 3rd to 5th).  Our decision was arrived at following a careful risk analysis with input from Council and members at large.  We will be hosting in person at the Delta Hotel by Marriott Beauséjour in Moncton and broadcasting on the web.  In person participation will be capped at 200 participants and registration for in person component will be on a first come basis.

We want to thank all of those who reached out to express their views on our activities and invite you to continue to do so.

We are looking forward to hosting our first ever hybrid event and ask that you are patient as we navigate this new model.  There will be more details available in late November.
