The Canadian Bar Association – NB Branch is proud to be hosting a social event with esteemed criminal defence lawyer Marie Henein to discuss her career, the legal industry, and her national best-seller, Nothing But The Truth: A Memoir.

The event will begin at 5 pm with a reading by Marie of the new chapter that will be included in the paperback version of her book this Fall. After the reading, members will have the opportunity to ask Marie questions during a Q & A.

Following the Q & A you will not want to miss the chance to meet Marie and perhaps even have a casual chat with her over a glass of wine during the wine & cheese reception.

Marie Henein is a senior partner at Henein Hutchison LLP, recognized in Canadian Lawyer as one of the country's Top Ten Litigation Boutiques. Named Toronto's 15th Most Powerful Person by Toronto Life, she has been repeatedly recognized as one of the Top 25 Most Influential Lawyers by Canadian Lawyer, named as Lawyer of the Year by Best Lawyers in 2019 in the Criminal Defence category and was a recipient of the Laura Legge Award from the Law Society of Ontario and the Law Society of Ontario Medal. Marie is the Past President of The Advocates’ Society. She is a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Law Commission of Ontario. She is one of the founders of the Court of Appeal’s appellate Duty Counsel Program. Marie is the author of the best-selling memoir Nothing But the Truth. She has been interviewed on CBC's The National and The Current, written for the Globe and Mail, and is a sought-after speaker.
